	The project activities will conducted mainly in Khulna City Corporation (KCC) of Bangladesh.

	Assessment and Dissemination of the project outcome will be conducted in other cities of Bangladesh.

	Some Experimental works will be carried out at Thiland.

	Associated study will be conducted in the European countries.

	Khulna city, the third biggest industrial city of the country, is located at the south-western part and situated on the banks of the Rupsha and the Bhairob rivers. Its elevation is 7 feet6 above the MSL. Total area of the Khulna city is about47 sq. km comprising 31 wards and about 1.5 millions of population. The Khulna Municipality was established in 1884 and in 6^th August of 1990, it was finally upgraded to khulna city corporation (KCC).
